This beautiful structure, listed on the Donegal County Council Protected Structure Inventory, is described as a “detached four-bay three-storey Victorian hotel with dormer windows with elaborate carved detailing to their surrounds.” The red-roofed structure in the historic photo was originally a barn, located behind the hotel.

In 2024, the Carrigart Hotel changed ownership, resulting in a stunning renovation and reinvention, seamlessly blending its historical roots with contemporary luxury.
